Tasting Notes

Colour : Old gold with coppery highlights.

Nose : Rich and smooth. Remarkably fruity freshness (orange, mango) leads us into a heady world dominated by essences of precious wood, wax, and varnish. Upon airing, licorice and chocolate intensify alongside voluptuous scents of blood orange and apricot.

Palate : Clear, dynamic, and well-balanced. The initial palate is saline, fruity (mandarin pulp), spicy (star anise, cardamom), and licorice-driven. Mid-palate reveals tertiary notes of cep mushroom and tar, infused with verbena, thyme, and sage.

Finish : Long and silky. The start of the finish is covered in a fine layer of salted butter caramel, mineral (slate), herbaceous (clover), and smoky (pipe tobacco). Towards the back, red and black fruits (strawberry, raspberry, blackberry, blackcurrant) highlight its complexity.
