NIKKA From the Barrel Extra Marriage
Since its debut in 1985, Nikka From The Barrel has become one of Japan’s most recognisable whiskies, known for its bold character, higher bottling strength and remarkable balance. Created by blending more than 100 parcels of malt and grain whiskies before bottling at 51.4% ABV, it helped demonstrate that blended whisky could deliver both intensity and complexity.
Released to commemorate its 40th anniversary, Nikka From The Barrel Extra Marriage introduces an extended marrying period after blending. This additional time allows the component whiskies to integrate more fully, revealing a more harmonious and refined interpretation of the original while preserving its unmistakable structure and character.

KILCHOMAN Machir Bay
Introduced in 2012, Machir Bay is Kilchoman’s flagship expression and the whisky that best represents the distillery’s distinctive house style. Named after the sweeping beach on Islay’s west coast, it is matured primarily in ex-bourbon barrels with a smaller proportion of ex-oloroso sherry casks, bringing together bright citrus, orchard fruit and maritime peat in a style that has become synonymous with the distillery.
As one of Scotland’s few farm distilleries, Kilchoman oversees every stage of production, from growing a portion of its own barley to distillation, maturation and bottling on Islay. This commitment to provenance and small-scale production has made Machir Bay an enduring reference point for modern Islay whisky.
WHY YOU’LL WANT TO TAKE THIS HOME
- Experience the whisky that defines Kilchoman’s signature style
- Discover the balance of bourbon and sherry cask maturation over vibrant Islay peat
- Enjoy an approachable introduction of Islay whiskies, as well as Kilchoman’s award-winning range
BEST FOR
Discovering Kilchoman for the first time, exploring a fresher, fruit-forward style of Islay whisky, or establishing a benchmark before progressing through the distillery’s wider range
PLANTERAY RUM 15 YO 2010 Haiti Itineraires
Selected for La Maison du Whisky’s Itinéraires collection, this 15-year-old Planteray offers a distinctive expression of Haitian sugarcane-juice rum. Distilled in 2010 at the Jeanty distillery near Grand-Goave in western Haiti, it was produced from fresh sugarcane juice fermented over five days.

This extended double-ageing brings together fresh cane, tropical fruit and floral notes with a silky texture and greater maturity.
WHY YOU’LL WANT TO TAKE THIS HOME
- Experience a rare mature expression from one of the Caribbean’s most underrepresented rum origins
- Discover the elegance and freshness that set Haitian sugarcane-juice rum apart
- Explore how bourbon and Cognac casks shape the same rum across two climates
