Planteray explores the diversity of rum through its different countries, distilleries and traditions, with dual ageing at the heart of its approach: first in the spirit’s tropical place of origin, then in the cooler cellars of France. This allows the spirit to develop under two climates, with each stage bringing a different dimension to the final rum.

This 25-year-pld rum was distilled at Trinidad Distillers Limited (TDL), the production home of Angostura and the central surviving force in Trinidad’s rum industry. Distilled in 2000, the rum spent 16 years ageing in a bourbon cask in Trinidad, followed by nine years of continental maturation in an ex-Cognac cask in France. 

The result brings together ripe fruit, cocoa, spice and oak, with the tropical ageing building concentration and the continental maturation bringing greater integration and finesse.
