Founded in 2018, Yuza upholds the “quality above all” philosophy inherited from sake production. The mindset and passion remain the same when producing whisky. They follow the concept they call “TLAS” (Tiny, Lovely, Authentic, and Supreme). The distillery, located in Yamagata by the Sea of Japan, is very small, appearing tiny and charming, with the goal of producing authentic and supreme whisky. Yuza benefits from high-quality water from the stream of Mount Chokai and fresh, pure air to craft its whisky. Now, the Second Edition of the Cask Strength series has arrived, with the aim of capturing the autumn fertility of Yamagata Prefecture, renowned for its orchards.
