GLEN GRANT 67 ans 1953 Mr. George Legacy G&M

Distilled in 1953, this first edition of the Legacy Series range is an exceptional single malt, aged for 67 years in first-fill Sherry casks. It pays tribute to Mr. George Urquhart, a member of the second generation of the Gordon & MacPhail family, described by whisky legend Charlie MacLean as the ‘father of single malt.’ A true pioneer, Mr. George played a pivotal role in the success of Scotch whisky, creating the iconic Connoisseurs Choice range in 1968, composed of single malts at a time when most whiskies were used for blending. On the nose, this whisky reveals aromas of beeswax, stewed fruits, and toasted hazelnuts. The palate is subtle, marked by gentle spices, notes of plum, blackcurrant, and molasses. The finish is long and complex, transporting us into a delicious and very fruity realm. A limited edition of 355 bottles.
