When Warenghem launched into French whiskey in 1983, she did so humbly by drawing on the know-how patiently accumulated by the Scots over the past two centuries. It is therefore inspired by methods in vogue across the Channel: it is equipped with two pot stills and will mainly work on types of barrels that have already proven their relevance in terms of aging whiskey in Scotland.

In the early 2000s, however, it diversified by working with Breton oak essences and local barrels, as evidenced by the excellent chouchen barrel previously selected for VERSION FRANÇAISE.
This time, the selected cask is indeed part of the Celtic heritage of the distillery. This is a second fill Oloroso sherry barrel that has received an intensely smoked distillate with Scottish peat at 45 ppm.

Fat and opulent, this intensely peaty Armorik single malt is camphoric and medicinal. Aromas of warm ash and damp earth accompany notes of banana flambé, toasted cereal and fleur de sel.
