Description
Tasting Notes
Colour : Deep orange copper.
Nose : Fine, subtle. A blend of apricot and melon, the nose reveals a waxy (beeswax) and chocolatey character. With aeration, scents of heady flowers (hyacinth, freesia) perfume the air. Harmonious, the palette evolves towards aromas of salted butter caramel.
Palate : Lively, slender. Candied citrus (orange, lemon, mandarin), some sweet spices (cinnamon, ginger), and malted barley grains intertwine. The mid-palate strongly recalls the waxiness from the nose (polish, varnish).
Finish : Long, silky. Malted, the finish invites us to savor an apricot tart, fig jam, and quince jelly. In the aftertaste, malted barley takes the lead. A lovely apricot-infused rancio punctuates the tasting.
Profile : Fine, lively
