From 1963 to 1997, the Bunnahabhain distillery produced a non-peated single malt. Since then, they have made up for it, as evidenced by this Staoisha 2013 version, a worthy representative of Islay whiskies famous for their heavily peated profiles. Soft, camphorated, vegetal, medicinal, oily, chocolatey, iodized, smoky, ashy, gamey, and even fruity, the peat is omnipresent. Like The Un-Chillfiltered Collection, the whiskies in the Very Cloudy range are bottled from small batches of two to five casks. Reduced to 40% without cold filtration or coloring, they have a rich, highly aromatic profile and have a slightly cloudy appearance. Profile
Profile: Oily, peaty.
