Tasting Notes

Colour : Copper with greenish reflections.

Nose : Fine, concentrated. At first, citrus notes (orange, tangerine), toffee, emery cloth, and lavender scents showcase the complexity of the aromatic palette. Upon aeration, it takes on exotic (mango, persimmon) and heady (turpentine) tones with remarkable purity of expression.

Palate : Rich, powerful. Chocolaty, the attack on the palate is impressively present. Deliciously tannic, the mid-palate reveals various dried fruits (fig, date, chestnut). Flavors of fruitcake provide a delightful sweetness at the finish.

Finish : Long, full-bodied. With a very fine grain, the start of the finish unveils notes of plantain banana and botrytized raisins with rare eloquence. With great nobility of expression, the aftertaste evolves between pipe tobacco, gingerbread, and linden honey.
