Description
Tasting Notes
Colour : Coppery orange
Nose : Rich and deep. At first scent, aromas of eucalyptus, apricot, and beeswax strongly permeate the olfactory space. With aeration, the aromatic palette becomes spicy (Espelette, paprika), chocolatey, and rooty (gentian). Over time, candied oranges, heather honey, and scents of rose and petunia perfume the surrounding atmosphere.
Palate : Balanced and refined. Black licorice and dark chocolate form the base of a mouthwatering attack that evolves into apricot kernel. In the middle of the palate, malted barley grains and toasted flavors take over. The very end of the palate evokes a woodworker’s workshop (wood paste, Oregon pine, suspended dust). Magical.
Finish : Long and velvety. At the start of the finish, rose petals and pomegranate intertwine in a most delicious manner with notes of creamy coffee. This absolutely delightful introduction extends infinitely. The retro-olfaction emphasizes the exceptional quality of aging in barrels that once contained rye whiskey. The empty glass is spicy (ginger), licorice, and roasted (coffee, tea).
Profile: Aromatic and vibrant.
