Founded in 2002 by Vincent Gachet, the Dauphiné craft brewery is located in Saint-Martin-d’Hères near Grenoble.

Between 2011 and 2015, with the help of Gilles Gaudet, a renowned mobile distiller, Gachet distilled the equivalent of three casks.

Unable to balance beer and whisky production, he established the trading company AlpSpirits in 2016 and acquired four casks of peated whisky from the Lorraine-based distillery Rozelieures.

Originating from one of these four casks and displaying a phenol level of 35 ppm, this edition was initially aged in an oloroso sherry cask, then transferred to a pineau des Charentes barrel, and finally finished in a Pedro Ximenez cask.

Its aromatic and flavor profile is filled with fruity, floral, and even exotic sequences, highlighting peat with smoky, medicinal, meaty, and ashy tones.
