Description
Tasting Notes
Colour : Topaz.
Nose : Both lively and creamy. From the outset, dry, herbaceous, floral, and salty peat aromas fill the air with determination. With aeration, the peat becomes even more pronounced and richer. Gradually, candied fruits (pear, mirabelle plum) and exotic fruits (pineapple, persimmon) make their appearance.
Palate : Rich, powerful. The peat recedes considerably, influencing the tasting only slightly. Instead, the flavor palette takes on lovely malty, milky, and fruity nuances (orange, apricot). Over time, pipe tobacco flavors gradually coat the palate.
Finish : Long, balanced. Both medicinal (mustard), citrusy, and vanilla-flavored, the finish vividly evokes the scent of wet earth after a summer storm. Rooty (ginseng, ginger), the aftertaste is wrapped in a delicate layer of salted butter caramel.
