Description
TASTING NOTE
Appearance : gold with glints of old gold.
Nose : elegant, heady. The first flavours we encounter are of cereal, lime, chamomile and curry. A light hint of tar fades into the famous red fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry) for which this Irish Whiskey is best known. It lingers with vanilla, spice (cinnamon, cloves) and candied fruits (apricot).
Palate : sparkling, cheerful. Like biting into fleshy fruit, blackcurrant berries and passion fruit. The second mouthful reveals vegetal notes of green wood and ylang-ylang. Marzipan and gingerbread provide consistency. The vanilla transforms into cardamom, wild shrawberry and gooseberry.
Overall : long, slightly tannic. It expresses an impressive range of fruit. For some, the silky sensation of the fruit skin is pure pleasure. For others, it is their sugary juice that delights, and for others still, their exotic perfumes are enveloping.
