Description
Tasting Notes
Colour : Orange copper.
Nose : Fine, refined. At first sniff, an oily and rooty peat (gentian) takes center stage. With aeration, it darkens and becomes saline. Then, citrus fruits (orange, lemon) bring a lot of vivacity to an increasingly smoky aromatic palette (sleet).
Palate : Broad, smooth. In the mouth, the peat takes on intensely animalistic tones (smoked bacon) at the first sip. Mid-palate, flavors of fresh figs, toffee, and mango form a refined trio. Similar to the nose, the finish is smoky (tar, asphalt).
Finish : Long, dense. At the beginning of the finish, sooty notes harmonize perfectly with the end of the palate. Then, ashes spread across the palate. Reflecting the animalistic character of the flavor profile, the aftertaste is also chocolatey and bitter (quinine).
Profile : Broad, smooth.
