For the 15th release in their Exceptional Cask Series, they have unleashed upon us ‘Redoutable’, a cask strength, 14 year old heavyweight aged in both bourbon and Madeira casks.
This, like all Foursquare rums, is a blend of pot and column distillates, which are blended after distillation. In this case, they then sat in either bourbon or Madeira casks for the whole 14 years in tropical Barbados, before being blended together.
As far as the name is concerned Redoubtable means “formidable” or “very strong”.
