Located in Phnom Penh, Samai is a small artisan distillery that produces the first and only rum of Cambodia! Samai in Khmer refers to modernity, a new era, a term that perfectly defines the philosophy of its two founders, Antonio Lopez de Haro and Daniel Pacheco, as well as Darachampich Moang, the first and only Master Blender of the country. Every production phase takes place at the distillery. Made from local molasses and distilled in a traditional copper still, the rum is then aged in French and American oak barrels with a finish in sherry barrels. Ratanakiri honey and the influence of local ingredients give this blend an enchanting balance and make it a unique rum that takes us where Latin influences and Asian traditions merge. To be enjoyed neat, on ice, or in cocktails.
