The Foursquare distillery is a historic site in its own right: it was built in 1996 on a former sugar factory established in Barbados as early as 1636. Richard Seale, the current owner and heir to four generations of rum traders, changed the course of family history by designing the stills for the distillery in 1996. All rums are made from fermented molasses and are all distilled, aged, blended, and bottled on site. As a family-owned business, Foursquare is free to work its products and perfect them as it sees fit. Richard Seale takes pride in offering quality and authentic products, without the addition of sweeteners or texture agents.
