Since 2018, the Japanese distillery Chichibu, founded by Ichiro Akuto in 2008, has crafted a new blend each year dedicated to the City of Light: the Chichibu Paris Edition.

The 2024 edition pays homage to the most beautiful monuments of Paris and Tokyo. Six versions of labels, printed on *washi*—a traditional Japanese paper—juxtapose these iconic buildings, which have become symbols of their respective cities.

In a mirrored reflection, the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, and Notre-Dame de Paris are paired with Tokyo’s landmarks: the Tokyo Tower, the Meiji Jingu Gate, and the Kōkyo Imperial Palace. This is a way to revisit this remarkable architectural heritage through tasting.

The Chichibu Paris Edition 2024 is a blend of twelve bourbon barrels, two quarter casks (*chibidaru*), and one red wine cask, with an average age of six to seven years.

An uninterrupted succession of aromatic and gustatory sequences, its strength of character is matched only by its elegance and freshness of expression.

Following in the footsteps of the 2023 edition, a peat that becomes ever more subtle sets the tone for a tasting experience that grows in richness and complexity.
