TASTING NOTE
Color: bright gold.
Nose: both fine and smooth. Deliciously buttery, the first nose also reveals lovely notes of new oak. Then, it becomes apricot and spicy (cinnamon, cloves). When aired, barley porridge and all-flower honey coexist in perfect harmony with autumnal scents (ivy, moss, chestnut). The whole shows a remarkable balance. Notes of bitter orange and honeysuckle at the peak.
Palate: elegant, balanced. Wonderfully smooth (praline, mocha) and exotic (banana, pineapple), the attack on the palate also highlights a very pleasant salinity. On the mid-palate, a stick of licorice rubs shoulders with flavors of cane sugar and aromatic plants (chamomile, wicker, savory). The aftertaste is greedy (toast, macadamia nuts), flowery (jasmine) and fruity (baked apple).
Overall: long, silky. Very well designed, the start of the finish first of all makes us bite into the flesh of juicy white grapes. Then, these same grapes become dry and syrupy. The very end of the palate is chocolatey, greedy (biscuit), heady (iris, geranium), candied (ginger), saline and powdery (cocoa). The empty glass reveals a subtle blend of dried flowers, cloves, malted barley and sage.
