TASTING NOTE
Appearance : burnished gold with orange tinges.
Nose : refined, complex. On the first nose, notes of torrefaction (coffee), spice bread and citrus fruit (orange, mandarin) emphasize a very sophisticated expression of rancio. Allowed to breathe, the aroma palette develops a very fresh expression of mentholated and herbaceous (cut hay, sugar cane) registers. Camphoric and spicy (cinnamon, clove, nutmeg), it gradually becomes increasingly exotic (pineapple, passion fruit, guava) and very pleasantly salty.
Palate : full-bodied, invigorating. At once full of life and remarkably unctuous, the attack is characterized by flavours of candied citrus fruit (lemon, grapefruit), marmalade and quince jelly. With a very delicate, taffeta-esque texture, the mid-palate is abundantly fruity (vine peach, apricot, roasted apple, Mirabelle plum). The exotic end of the palate (passion fruit, persimmon) is also nobly woody (beeswax) and heady (flowering geranium, hyacinth).
Overall : long, smooth. At the start of the finish, aromatic plants (sage, verbena, camomile) and spices (coriander, cumin) appear alongside lime blossom and pine honeys. The end of the finish confirms this empyreumatic evolution (apricot stone, camphor). The tertiary (lichen) and luscious (mint, chlorophyll) retro-nasal olfaction is also divinely chocolatey, vanilla (flan) and honeyed (lime blossom, heather). With crystal-clear purity, the empty glass reveals harmonious fragrances of cane sugar, bramble bush and toffee.
