ROSEBANK 32 ans 1991 1ST FILL BOURBON BARREL Recollection Gordon & Macphail

$3,500.00

The history of the Rosebank distillery is closely tied to the Forth & Clyde Canal, which stretches at its feet. This waterway connected Scotland’s west and east coasts, as well as its two main cities, Glasgow and Edinburgh.

A distillery named Rosebank was operating as early as 1817. From 1840, under the management of the Rankine family, Rosebank thrived. However, the canal fell into neglect, and the distillery eventually closed its doors in 1993.

It was reopened with great fanfare in 2024 under new ownership.

This edition, a forgotten masterpiece, is one of the oldest and rarest Rosebank single malts ever released.

Distilled in 1991, this whisky was aged for 32 years in a first-fill bourbon cask and bottled at 51.2%. The Recollection #3 range, through a series of meticulously selected bottlings, revisits the history of Scotland’s closed distilleries.

Preserved in Gordon & MacPhail’s warehouses, these whiskies reflect a specific era and chapter in the grand story of Scotch whisky.
