Description
Tasting Notes
Nose: Delicate yet deep, opening with medicinal notes reminiscent of tiger balm, followed by bright lemon, candied pineapple and banana. Acacia honey, cane syrup, rose and lily bring sweetness and floral elegance, complemented by subtle caramelised nuances. With aeration, notes of Armenian paper and pipe tobacco emerge, adding further depth and complexity.
Palate: Lively and slender, initially evoking fresh sugarcane before developing into cinnamon, candied ginger, lime, toffee and vanilla bean. A pleasant fibrous bitterness, liquorice and saline character add structure, while fragrant geranium and honeyed notes of lime blossom and chamomile bring aromatic richness.
Finish: Dense yet delicate, with elegant tarry and oily nuances accompanied by vanilla, praline and fragrant dried flowers. Tropical notes of pineapple, kaffir lime and yellow kiwi intertwine with earthy roots of gentian and ginseng, while cocoa and ginger add a subtle powdery dimension. The retronasal finish brings together the aromatic complexity of the nose and palate in a beautifully balanced, lingering conclusion.
Style: A powerful yet refined Marie-Galante agricultural rum, combining fresh sugarcane, citrus, tropical fruit, florals and honey with medicinal, mineral, tarry and gently spiced nuances.
