This J.M Rhum Agricole – New American Oak Cask (LMDW Exclusive) is a pure expression of Martinique terroir, elevated by maturation in new American oak casks. Of classical construction yet vibrant in character, it showcases the natural intensity of fresh sugarcane distillate shaped by tropical ageing. Located in Macouba, in the far north of Martinique, the Fonds-Préville plantation has been home to the J.M distillery since 1845. Founded by Jean-Marie Martin and later acquired by the Crassous de Médeuil family in 1912, it has formed part of the Groupe Bernard Hayot since 2002. Fully renovated in 2013, the estate today cultivates around 300 hectares of sugarcane, drawing on three varieties—roseau, blue and red—grown from its own nursery. Renowned for its high-precision distillation and respect for AOC Martinique traditions, J.M stands among the reference producers of rhum agricole, celebrated for spirits that balance structure, aromatic finesse and unmistakable tropical energy.
