PORT MOURANT 32 ans 1990 New Vibrations Silver Seal

PORT MOURANT is one of Guyana’s most distinctive rum styles, traditionally produced using the legendary double wooden pot still. This 1990 vintage expression was distilled in the historic Port Mourant still, later transferred in 1999 to Diamond Distillery, the last remaining distillery in Guyana to operate a wooden still of this type. Bottled by Italian independent merchant Whisky Antique under its Silver Seal label, it offers an expressive combination of medicinal, fruity and vegetal character.

At 32 years old, this rum displays remarkable depth while retaining a fresh and vibrant profile. The nose moves from sugar cane, bourbon vanilla and fresh cane into pineapple, banana, menthol and medicinal notes, with subtle mineral nuances. On the palate, vanilla and raisin lead into coconut milk, almond paste and roasted pineapple, followed by juicy white fruits. The long finish brings lavender honey, freshly cut sugar cane, ginger and nutmeg.
