For this third edition of the Islay Selection, La Maison du Whisky has specially selected two small batches from the Kilchoman farm distillery. These two whiskies are infused with Portuguese influence, one from aging in STR wine casks and the other from port casks. The second blend is a small batch made from a combination of ex-bourbon casks (75%), port casks (20%), and oloroso sherry casks (5%). This beautiful blend results in a whisky that combines savory notes of citrus, peaty smoke, which is the signature of Kilchoman single malts, and intense notes of red fruits and vanilla, typical of Porto.
