Description
Tasting Notes
Colour : Bright gold.
Nose : Subtle, deep. Very maritime, the first nose reveals notes of shellfish, crustaceans, salt, iodine, and seaweed. Upon aeration, a peat of great distinction, rather dry and deeply rooted in Islay’s soil, is nuanced with lemony, vanilla, and milky (coconut) fragrances.
Palate : Lively, elegant. In the mouth, flavors of white mint, dandelion roots, and a richer, oilier peat dominate the initial taste. In the middle of the palate, acacia honey and almond milk refresh the taste buds perfectly.
Finish : Long, expansive. Very solar and smoky, the finish is marked by flavors of warm tar and peat with smoky accents, which linger for a long time on the palate. The very end of the palate evokes a barley field with shades ranging from pastel green to bottle green.
