ENMORE 1991 Guyana Versailles KFM The Colours of Rum Foundations W. S.

$880.00

Founded in the early 19th century in the village of the same name, Enmore closed its doors in 1995. Distilled in the wooden double column of the Coffey type that equipped this legendary distillery, this version was selected by La Maison du Whisky from the Polish trading house Wealth Solutions.

Both complex and deep, its aromatic and flavor profile offers a delightful blend of youthful vibrancy and mature expression.

At times reminiscent of a Grand-Bas-Armagnac from the Landes region with its tawny flavors, it sensitively reflects the power of the terroir that gave it life.

Tasting Notes

Colour
: Mahogany.

Nose : Rich, full-bodied. Very deep, the aromatic profile reveals delightful scents of sandalwood, dried fig, nuts, incense, prunes, and truffle. With aeration, it evolves toward more empyreumatic (essence, asphalt) and roasted (coffee, red tea) tones.

Palate : Lively, dynamic. Continuing the herbal notes (tobacco) from the nose, the flavor profile rests on a magnificent root bitterness (gentian) and a vegetal bitterness (cane sugar). Flavors of walnut husk, curry, and dried coriander progressively impart a great deal of freshness.

Finish : Long, fluffy. Zests of orange, grated ginger, gentian liqueur, musk, 100% dark chocolate, a thyme infusion, and very ripe bananas—these resplendent flavors of maturity contribute to a voluptuous and insatiable finish. This mirrors the retro-nasal olfaction, which is apricot-like and licorice-scented.
