Created to celebrate the fifth anniversary of Christian Drouin’s Experimental range and its tenth edition, this unique release marks a special collaboration with the legendary Springbank distillery. The relationship between both houses stretches back many years, with Springbank having previously matured whisky in Christian Drouin Calvados casks. For this edition, eight casks were exchanged, resulting in a limited release of only 2,130 bottles.
For this experiment, Christian Drouin selected a deep and mature 19-year-old Pays d’Auge Calvados, finished for five months in Springbank casks carrying gentle peated influence (10–12 ppm). The result is an intriguing meeting of orchard fruit richness and subtle coastal smoke, where roasted apples and baked fruit notes intertwine with earthy complexity and delicate peat influence. A distinctive and characterful Calvados that beautifully bridges the worlds of Normandy and Campbeltown.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Deep and expressive. Roasted apples with gentle smoky notes, evolving into plum, clafoutis and subtle earthy nuances.
Palate: Rich, opulent and structured with toasted notes, baked fruits and warming spice supported by elegant smoky depth.
Finish: Long and lingering with soft peat, orchard fruits and delicate earthy sweetness.
