Profile
Colour: Deep gold.
Nose: rich, deep. Simultaneously exotic (pineapple, green banana, passion fruit), herbaceous (cut hay, spearmint) and medicinal (tiger balm), the first nose evolves towards notes of citrus fruits (lemon, grapefruit), coriander and encaustic (wax, royal jelly). Allowed to breathe, mustard seeds, toasted walnuts, camphor and cloves highlight an increasingly heady and concentrated orientation. Noble spices (saffron, cardamom), cocoa powder and curry further embellish the aromatic palette.
Mouth: dynamic, racy. Remarkably elegant, the attack on the palate is deliciously vanilla, fruity (apricot, apple), candied (lemon), exotic (pineapple) and herbaceous (pipe tobacco). In continuity, various aromatic plants (verbena, rosemary, sage), pralines and honeys of lime blossom and lavender perfume a voluptuous mid-palate with infinite sweetness. Very greedy (custard tart, Norman tart) and very green (lawn, flowery meadow), the aftertaste evokes an aged Riesling grand cru.
Finish: long, rich. First, vanilla pods, chocolate, nougat, candied apples and pears coat the taste buds with their smooth and syrupy flavors. In a second step, malted barley, precious wood, cinnamon and dried figs narrow the palate. Finally, sublime notes of jasmine tea and mint infusions bring enormous freshness to the very end of the palate. The empty glass is medicinal (benzoin, poultice), spicy (nutmeg, pink pepper) and camphor.
