Tasting Notes
Colour : Deep old gold.
Nose : Rich, deep. A blend of old-fashioned mustard, creosote, diesel, heated asphalt, embers, iodine tincture, balm, incense… the aromatic profile is also oily (olive, nut), floral (wild geranium), and spicy (Cayenne).
Palate : Crisp, lively. With a very strong personality, the flavor profile is both exotic (mango, guava), terpenic (lava), nobly spiced (cardamom), mineral (basalt), and heady (iris concrete). Then, like an ointment, essential oils (thyme, rosemary, savory) gradually envelop the palate.
Finish : Long, silky. With a particularly voluptuous feel that evokes taffeta, the tasting intensifies toward even more tarry, asphalt-like, and heady notes (lavender, lilac). Over time, warm cane sugar pours over the palate.
