Description
Tasting Notes
Colour : Copper.
Nose : Fine, elegant. Both animalistic (bacon), chocolatey, fruity (orange), iodine-rich (tincture), and ashy, the aromatic palette is remarkable for its elegance and typicity. Upon aeration, barley grains, fine peat, and aromas of curry and clove further enhance its nobility.
Palate : Lively, dynamic. Finely licorice-like and especially peppery, empyreumatic (gravelly), and saline, the gustatory palette evolves smoothly with flavors of toffee. The influence of the Oloroso sherry reaches its peak here. Long after, malted barley grains dominate the tasting space.
Finish : Long, delicate. A remarkably faithful synthesis of the nose and palate, the tasting now ventures into more floral territories (lavender, lilac) and more jam-like notes (quince jelly). In retro olfaction, cloves, blocks of rich peat, and iodine tincture tactfully envelop the palate.
