Description
Tasting Notes
Colour : Gold with pink reflections.
Nose : Rich, heady. Immediately, the influence of Pomerol wine is revealed through red and black fruits (strawberry, cherry, blackcurrant). With aeration, chocolatey and finely wooded scents (oak) structure an increasingly spicy aromatic palette (nutmeg, cinnamon).
Palate : Rich, ample. Behind a very slight licorice reduction, the palate reveals floral flavors (violet candy, lavender) with remarkable precision. More malty and slightly bitter, the mid-palate gives way to increasingly fruity notes (apricot, melon).
Finish : Long, velvety. Fruits have taken the lead: lychee, wild strawberries, white peaches, and apricots. The aftertaste hints at flavors of dried fruits (almond, chestnut) and praline. Very dense, the empty glass has come significantly closer to the distillate.
