Tasting Notes
Colour : Vivid gold.
Nose : Fine, complex. At first scent, an autumnal (dead leaves, dried seaweed) and roasted peat (nuts) provides a lot of refinement to the aromatic palette. With aeration, it enriches itself with noble smoked scents (ashes), floral (vetiver), fruity (orange, mango), and medicinal (aspirin) fragrances.
Palate : Full, delicate. With flavors of cooked strawberry, candied ginger, and gentian root, the mouthfeel is at the same time very mineral. Emphatically smoky (camphor, sandalwood), the mid-palate evolves into an enchanting floral register (wilted rose, pansy, carnation).
Finish : Long, substantial. In the mouth, orange zest, cloves, and salted butter caramel accompany elegant malty and peaty flavors. The aftertaste reveals heady flowers (lily, iris), making it indulgent.
