Description
Tasting Notes
Colour : Mahogany.
Nose : Rich, concentrated. Aromas of candied fig, Russian leather, cherry eau-de-vie, and dried grape harmonize with rare depth. Upon aeration, very pleasantly rustic, the aromatic palette is marked by notes of prune and truffle, reminiscent of Bas-Armagnac.
Palate : Substantial, velvety. Powdery (cocoa, ginger), the palate entry also shows chocolatey and licorice notes. In the mid-palate, cooked fruits (greengage plum, damson) are enveloped in caramel and toffee.
Finish : Long, pulpy. Fresh and juicy (blood orange), the start of the finish also brings to mind a delicious apricot tart. Then, gradually, noble spices (cardamom) and Havana flavors enhance the aftertaste.
