The former edition of the Yoichi 10-year-old single malt, marketed until 2015.

The first distillery of the Nikka house, located on the coast of the northern island of Hokkaido in Japan, Yoichi has been traditionally producing a characterful single malt since 1934, slightly peated and with maritime notes.

It is made from a blend of bourbon casks, new oak casks, and sherry casks crafted and reworked at the distillery.

Yoichi bottlings were the first to be awarded “Best of the Best” by Whisky Magazine in 2001, marking the global recognition of Japanese whisky, before the World Whisky Awards named them the best single malt in the world in 2008.
