This second edition of Ballymorgan uses barley cultivated by Robert Milne in Eastern Ireland. It stands on one of Ireland’s premier malting barley terroir – the famous Clonroche Series with its belt of loamy, clay soils derived from salt and granite.
One of 35 different farms distilled in 2016, the Ballymorgan 1.2 is a blend of first-fill bourbon casks (34%), American new oak casks (20%), French oak casks (23%) and casks that previously contained a fortified wine (23%).
Gourmet & fruity; think chocolate, crumble & plum notes.
