Tasting Notes
Colour : Burnished gold.
Nose : Fine, full. Opening with empyreumatic (gum) and medicinal (arnica) notes refreshed with aromas of lime, the nose gradually becomes more syrupy (cane sugar) and spicy (ginger, cinnamon). Allowed to breathe, honey (geranium), florals (lily, iris), and tropical fruits (kiwi) draw the focus. Fresh cane juice gradually spreads across the surface of the aroma palette.
Palate : Svelte, lively. Stronger spices (clove, black pepper) and vanilla pod bring immediate balance. The warm palate then reveals absolutely delicious notes of ripe banana, spice bread, and cane honey. Inspired, it evokes a field of sugarcane lit by rays of autumn sun.
Finish : Long, fleshy. With delicate cocoa and candied registers, the finish develops notes of ginseng root, florals (bougainvillea, dahlia), and empyreumatic notes (crème brûlée). The retro-nasal olfaction reveals milky (coconut), tropical (roasted apple), and light menthol tones, highlighting this Vieux Sajous’s incredible freshness.
