Founded in 1958 by Long John Distillers, Tormore was the first distillery built in the 20th century. Its striking neo-classical architecture, designed by Sir Albert Richardson, makes it one of Speyside’s most recognisable yet discreet landmarks. Now owned by Chivas Brothers (Pernod Ricard), Tormore is best known for its role in blends such as Ballantine’s. However, in single malt form—particularly under sherry maturation—it reveals a richer, more indulgent profile that has earned the respect of discerning connoisseurs. This bottling, released by Signatory Vintage, showcases the distillery’s depth through expert cask selection and high-strength presentation.
