Founded in 1958 by Long John Distillers, Tormore holds the distinction of being the first distillery built in the 20th century. Designed by renowned architect Sir Albert Richardson, its striking, now-listed buildings are among Speyside’s most recognisable. Acquired by Chivas Brothers (Pernod Ricard) in 2005, Tormore has traditionally contributed to major blends such as Ballantine’s. With the Legacy Collection, released under the direction of Elixir Distillers, Tormore steps decisively into the single malt spotlight, revealing the aromatic richness and versatility that long lay hidden behind the scenes.
