TAPATIO Añejo

$92.00

Produced at La Alteña Distillery, founded in 1937 by Felipe Camarena and now led by Carlos Camarena, Tapatío Añejo is made from 100% blue Weber agave grown in the highlands of Jalisco.

The agave is slow-cooked in traditional brick ovens, crushed using a combination of tahona and roller mill, then fermented and double-distilled in copper pot stills.

Aged for approximately 18 months in ex-bourbon barrels and bottled at 38% ABV (EU release), it develops structure and softness while retaining a clear, agave-forward profile.

Rather than leaning heavily into oak, this is an añejo shaped by restraint, where maturation enhances the spirit without obscuring its origin.
