Founded in 1891 in the heart of Speyside, Strathmill is known for producing a delicate and elegant spirit that has traditionally played an important role in blended Scotch whisky. Its naturally light and fruit-forward character makes it particularly well suited to more subtle cask maturation.
This 14-year-old Strathmill, distilled in 2011 and matured in a refill bourbon barrel, allows the distillery character to take centre stage. Bottled at 55% ABV by Gordon & MacPhail for the Spirit of Scotland range, it combines bright tropical fruit and vanilla with toasted barley and a refreshing citrus character. A clean, distillery-driven expression with impressive freshness.
