Bottled under the Speyside (M) designation, this single malt originates from one of Speyside’s most revered distilleries—widely recognised for its rich, full-bodied spirit and exceptional affinity for sherry cask maturation. While the distillery’s name cannot be stated, its unmistakable house style is evident throughout: luxurious malt, concentrated dried fruits and beautifully integrated oak, making these undisclosed releases highly sought after by enthusiasts.
Distilled in 2011 and matured for 14 years, this Small Batch #20 release from Signatory Vintage was aged exclusively in 1st Fill Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. The active PX oak imparts layers of dark dried fruits, cocoa and caramel while preserving the elegance and structure of the underlying spirit. Bottled without chill filtration or added colouring, this small batch release is a superb example of how rich sherry maturation can elevate one of Speyside’s most iconic malts.
