This rare single cask Macallan is bottled under Gordon & MacPhail’s SPEYMALT from MACALLAN range. Distilled on 24 September 2003 and matured for 20 years in a refill sherry butt before being bottled at a natural cask strength of 59.5% ABV. Drawn from Cask No. 11583 with an outturn of just 545 bottles, it delivers a refined yet powerful interpretation of Macallan, where rich fruit, mature oak and sherry-seasoned depth weave together with remarkable purity.
For over a century, Gordon & MacPhail has been Scotland’s most respected independent bottler, entrusted with new-make spirit from distilleries such as Macallan. The SPEYMALT from MACALLAN series is one of G&M’s longest-standing partnerships, offering limited, single-cask or small-batch releases that highlight the distillery’s natural character through carefully matched sherry casks. Bottled with no additives or chill-filtration, each release presents Macallan through the lens of G&M’s cask-maturation expertise.
