Bottled under the ORKNEY (HP) designation, this single malt originates from one of Scotland’s most celebrated island distilleries, renowned for its distinctive combination of gentle heathery peat, honeyed sweetness and maritime character. The elegant, lightly smoky spirit has long been admired for its ability to mature gracefully in sherry casks, where rich fruit and spice complement rather than overpower its refined island profile.
Distilled in 2011 and matured for 14 years in a 1st Fill Oloroso sherry cask, this 100 Proof #71 release from Signatory Vintage showcases that harmony at its finest. Bottled at 100 Proof (57.1% ABV) without chill filtration or added colouring, it offers a beautifully balanced interplay of soft peat smoke, rich dried fruits and warming spice. The active Oloroso cask adds depth and complexity while allowing the distillery’s signature honeyed and maritime character to remain unmistakably present.

Nose: Heather honey, raisins, dried orange peel, toasted walnuts, gentle peat smoke and warming spices.
Palate: Rich and well-structured, with dried fruits, dark toffee, cinnamon, dark chocolate, soft floral peat and subtle sea salt.
Finish: Long and elegant, with lingering smoke, dried fruits, oak spice and a delicate maritime freshness.
