Description
Nose: Delicate and subtle. Both citrusy (zest), toasted, malty, and peppery, the aromatic profile is particularly bright. As it aerates, the malted barley comes forward. Over time, notes of ash, white fruits (pear, apple), wax, and resin fill a rich and concentrated aromatic space.
Appearance: Topaz.
Palate: Clean and lively. Very elegant, the flavour profile revisits the white fruit and citrus notes found on the nose. This vibrant opening is followed by minty, ashy, vanilla, and herbal (cut hay) flavours. A few grains of salt then gently settle on the tongue.
Overall: Rich and concentrated. Ashy and slightly smoky (eucalyptus, Armenian paper), it reveals mineral notes (charcoal, graphite) while showcasing beautiful liquorice and floral (violet) accents. Both gourmet (liquorice, marshmallow) and softly tannic, the retro-olfaction and empty glass reveal consistent notes of malted barley, praline, and spiced ginger.
