Founded in 1936 by Pierre de Montesquiou, Marquis de Montesquiou is a French Armagnac house rooted in the traditions of Gascony. The Montesquiou family has been established in the region since 1040, with Pierre de Montesquiou d’Artagnan among its notable ancestors, inspiring the legendary figure of the Musketeers. Since 1955, the house’s expertise has been passed down through just three cellar masters, preserving its rigorous approach to blending and ageing.

The 1989 vintage forms part of the Oxygène collection, which celebrates time as a key element in the development of Armagnac. Selected from eaux-de-vie sourced exclusively from Bas-Armagnac and Ténarèze, this vintage has matured slowly in oak casks, allowing the spirit to breathe and gradually develop greater depth and aromatic complexity.
