Founded in 2005, Kilchoman was the first distillery built on Islay in over a century. Following a traditional farmhouse-distillery model, the family-run distillery grows and harvests its own barley, with around 30% of its malt requirements produced on-site. This strong connection to the land is central to Kilchoman’s distinctive Islay character, defined by expressive peat smoke, citrus freshness and a vibrant spirit.
Kilchoman Maury Cask Matured brings together the character of Islay and the sun-soaked terroir of France’s Roussillon region. Matured in Maury Grenat casks, previously used for the fortified red wine made primarily from Grenache Noir, the whisky takes on rich layers of dried fruit, honey and dark sweetness. These flavours complement Kilchoman’s signature peat smoke and citrus notes, creating a bold and richly characterful single malt.
