For nearly 10 years, the release of a new version of Kilchoman Loch Gorm every spring has become a small event. Named after the largest freshwater lake on Islay, located not far from the distillery, with dark peaty waters abundant in wildlife, Loch Gorm combines the expressive peat at 50 ppm and characteristic citrus notes of Kilchoman with the woody, fruity, and indulgent influence of sherry. For the Loch Gorm 2023 edition, 22 casks have been selected, 8 distilled in 2013, 6 in 2014, and 8 in 2015. Each cask has been chosen for its unique profile which, when combined with the other 21, creates a masterful, richly fruity, and peaty balance. Still as delightful and essential as ever!
