Description
Tasting Notes
Colour : Pale gold.
Nose : Fine, profound. Initially, notes of dry grass (cut hay, alfalfa) quickly give way to strong spices (black pepper, clove) and candied citrus (lemon). With aeration, Kilchoman’s naturally iodized and mineral character takes the forefront (seaweed, chalk).
Palate : Clear, precise. Radiant, the palate’s entry is simultaneously vanilla, peaty, herbaceous, and saline. Particularly deep and smooth, the mid-palate charmingly evolves towards more oily and chocolatey flavor profiles.
Finish : Long, balanced. At the start of the finish, white flowers (jasmine, lily of the valley) and green tea flavors provide a very pleasant sensation of freshness to the palate. In the aftertaste, malted barley grains, almond milk, and a fine licorice gently envelop the taste buds.
Profile : Balanced and profound.
