Description
Tasting Notes
Colour : Pale gold.
Nose : Rich, powerful. At first sniff, there are smoky scents (sleet, fuel) and a thick smoke that permeates the surrounding atmosphere. With aeration, the aromatic palette becomes more medicinal (mustard seed), deeply malty, and chocolatey.
Palate : Refined, dynamic. Different from the nose, the palate’s entry is airier, with smoked malted barley replacing the peat. The mid-palate then ventures into delightful vanilla, fruity (pear), and herbaceous territories.
Finish : Long, delicate. At the start of the finish, a fine licorice coats the sides of the palate while lemon zest brings a tangy dimension to the flavor profile. The end of the palate is verdant (barley field), balsamic, and tenderly spiced (cumin, star anise).
Profile : Powerful and elegant.
