Description
Tasting Notes
Colour : Deep old gold.
Nose : Refined, profound. Initially, the slightly oxidative nose evokes hints of farmhouse cider. Soon, aromas of tar and burnt rubber emerge. Upon aeration, scents of blooming sugarcane and sugarcane syrup permeate the now camphor-like and resinous atmosphere (pine, cypress).
Palate : Lively, dynamic. The oxidative quality at the beginning of the palate resembles an aged Jura wine with acquired curry flavors. Mid-palate, sugarcane pierces through the yeasty layer of the Jura wine, revealing notes of molasses, tar, and pipe tobacco.
Finish : Long, soft. A perfect synthesis of the nose and palate, the start of the finish adds a floral dimension (geranium, tuberose). In the aftertaste, hints of hydrocarbons (turpentine, fuel), polished wood, and varnish deeply saturate the taste buds.
